13.2. PAYROLL - GENERAL INFORMATION
Payroll Services at The University of Texas at Austin is responsible for overseeing the payroll process for all employees and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and policies. This includes monitoring salary payments, which are encumbered, and wage payments, which are not encumbered.
Payroll Services processes monthly and semi-monthly payments, depending on an employee’s pay group, monthly or semi-monthly, and also issues replacement paychecks when required. In addition to processing regular on-cycle payrolls, Payroll Services processes off-cycle payrolls on a weekly basis for payments that missed the regular paydays.
All employees of The University of Texas at Austin are required to provide information that is used in the payroll process and for employment-related reporting. For more information, see section 13.2.4. Employee’s Payroll Profile.
