We write to you today with an important update regarding the Data to Insights (D2I) initiative and our continued efforts to align UT’s data resources and modernize our technology operations across campus. Since we launched D2I in February, much progress has been made, and work is well underway to expand the new Data Hub, engage the campus community through workshops, and develop new analytical reports to help us achieve the goals outlined in Change Starts Here: UT’s 10-Year Strategic Plan to Increase Impact.

As co-sponsors, we will be working with deans and university leaders to engage stakeholders across campus and ensure these efforts are aligned with the broader strategic planning process.

FAS Core Values Awards

May 9, 2022

Dear FAS colleagues,

As I mentioned in my recent email about the university’s 10-year strategic plan, there is room within the plan for all of us to make a difference, and we in FAS, as individuals, will be recipients of positive changes to come. One aspect of the plan calls for us to honor and recognize staff achievements more frequently and clearly.

Dear FAS colleagues,

As the university’s strategic planning effort continues moving forward, FAS is also renewing its focus on talent management which requires us to be intentional in how we approach engaging employees. We want to not only achieve our business objectives but also encourage and support connections between employees, their leadership and their peers. Our decisions around how we recruit, retain, lead, develop and promote employees have an impact on all that we do in addition to the individual experience of each employee.

Thank you for another successful year

Dec. 13, 2021

Dear FAS colleagues,

As we approach the end of 2021, I want to thank all of you for your outstanding work keeping our university operating smoothly in the face of challenges while also advancing the university’s mission by embracing innovation and teamwork.
