AUF Codes
The Available University Fund (AUF) is an annual distribution from the Permanent University Fund (PUF) and, as established by the Texas Constitution, is appropriated for the support and maintenance of the University. At UT Austin, AUF dollars are deposited into 20-accounts, which are Education & General (E&G) funds dedicated to supporting the University’s core academic operations. As E&G funds, AUF expenditures must comply with State Comptroller requirements, university financial policies, and all reporting standards.
AUF codes are used by the Budget Office to categorize and report how AUF funds are committed or expended across various programs and projects on campus. Below is the list of UT Austin’s AUF codes.
