VP Admin Group

The VP Admin Group, a subset of the Council of University Business Officers, meets regularly to collaborate on issues unique to vice presidential portfolios including auxiliary units, self-supporting units and service centers.  The group invites campus partners to discuss, develop and share ideas, best practices, policies and procedures. The group meets regularly to create a space for this exchange of ideas and to provide a voice for administrative portfolios in university-level decision-making. Common topics discussed include:

  • Budget administration and financial reporting
  • Expenses management, procurement, warehouse management, business contract management and payment services
  • Revenue enhancement, accounts receivable and cash management
  • Information technology innovations
  • Sponsored contracts and grants management
  • Workday human capital management, payroll services, salary and merit policies
  • Gifts, pledges, endowed and non-endowed gift compliance and reporting
  • Facilities management, capital project reserves planning and new construction projects planning/financing
  • Furniture, equipment and fleet inventory management
  • Records management
  • Domestic and foreign travel management
  • Staff development best practices, education and training
